Centrifugal pumps

Centrifugal pump models, varieties, specifications and variants are the most common in agricultural pumps. According to the way water flows into the impeller, the number of impellers, whether the pump body can be self-priming, and the matching power size and power type, centrifugal pumps include single-stage single-suction centrifugal pumps, single-stage double-suction centrifugal pumps, multi-stage centrifugal pumps, self-priming centrifugal pumps, electric motor pumps and diesel engine pumps.



1. Single-stage single-suction centrifugal pumps

Old pump models include BA and B single-stage single-suction centrifugal pumps. In the 1980s, my country updated and developed centrifugal pump products based on international standards and the actual situation of irrigation and drainage machinery, and produced IB and IQ single-stage centrifugal pump series products, which have been listed as national professional standards and industry standards.

Single-stage single-suction centrifugal pumps, water enters the impeller from the axial single side, and there is only one impeller, so it is called a single-stage single-suction centrifugal pump. Its characteristics are that compared with mixed flow pumps and axial flow pumps, it has a higher head, a smaller flow rate, a simple structure and is easy to use.

IQ single-stage single-suction centrifugal pump (also known as light small centrifugal pump) is designed to meet the national conditions and meet the user's requirements for simple structure, light weight, low price, good performance and convenient matching. There are 84 products in total, divided into 3 derivative series and 413 specifications.


2. Single-stage double-suction centrifugal pump

It is a single-stage double-suction centrifugal pump that takes water from both sides of the impeller. Because the pump cover and the pump body are assembled with horizontal joints, it is also called a horizontal split centrifugal pump. Compared with the single-stage single-suction centrifugal pump, it has high efficiency, large flow and high head. But it is large in size and relatively heavy, and is generally used for fixed operations. It is suitable for irrigation areas of medium area in hills and plateaus, and is also suitable for factories, mines, urban water supply and drainage, etc.

Single-stage double-suction centrifugal pumps have several models: S type, Sh type, SA type, and SLA type. The difference between S type and Sh type is that from the drive end, the S type pump rotates clockwise, and the Sh type rotates counterclockwise. SLA type is a vertical single-stage double-suction centrifugal pump.

The performance range of S type pump is flow rate 160-18000 cubic meters per hour, head 12-125 meters, water inlet diameter 150-1400 mm, speed 2950, 1450, 970, 730, 585, 485, 360 rpm.


3. Self-priming centrifugal pump

A self-priming pump is a single-stage single-suction centrifugal pump that produces self-priming effect by the special structure of the pump itself, called a self-priming centrifugal pump. Compared with ordinary centrifugal pumps, there are significant differences in the pump body structure: first, the pump inlet position is raised, and sometimes a suction valve is installed; second, an air-water separation chamber is set on the water outlet side.

The self-priming pump outside the pump is a pump with a self-priming device outside the pump, such as a vortex pump, a water ring vacuum pump, a jet pump, and a manual pump.

Compared with ordinary centrifugal pumps, self-priming pumps have compact structure and simple operation. They not only save the trouble of filling a large amount of water before starting, but also save the low valve of the water inlet pipe, reduce the water inlet resistance, and increase the water output of the pump. However, the efficiency is 3% to 5% lower than that of ordinary centrifugal pumps of the same specification. Self-priming pumps are mostly used in light and small sprinkler irrigation units and pipeline irrigation units.


Submersible electric pump
